What is an On-site Wastewater Management Report?
If your current property doesn’t contain reticulated sewer connection you will need an Onsite Wastewater Management (Geotech) Report, for the approval to operate under local council regulations and within the boundaries of your property.
On-site Wastewater Management Reports: What’s Included
Key components of your On-site Wastewater Management Report Includes:
- A review of house plans, soils maps and climate data.
- Site and soil assessment to determine options for effluent management.
- Wastewater System Design, including treatment and disposal or re-use method and sizing.
- Creation of a site layout map to identify where the effluent will be disposed in relation to buildings, drainage lines, dams, property boundaries etc.
- Provide recommendations on best On site sewage management.
When is a Report Required?
- Construction of a non-sewered area
- Renovating an existing house or building (domestic or commercial)
- Subdividing land in area not serviced by a reticulated town sewer system.
- You wish to update an existing OSSM (e.g. from septic tank to an Aerated Wastewater Treatment System).
- Construction of additional structures and dwellings
- Your trench or absorption system is failing and you need a new OSSM.
- Your local council requires a Wastewater Management Assessment be undertaken for a new effluent management system.
